Open-frame LCD touch screens are displays used in specialized computer system integrations. Such integrations include
public systems, such as kiosks, arcades, and POS (Point of Sale) and POI (Point of Interest) systems.
An open-frame LCD touch screen is essentially a flatpanel stripped of its external casing but with its touch screen overlay and controller intact. System integrator can freely incorporate this leaner touch screen into their individual designs and specifications.
In addition to open-frames, flatpanel touch screens are available as desktops monitors and rackmounts.
